It depends on what you want to tattoo.
If you want a flash usually I have appointments available right on the next week or the one after, if it is for a guestspot it’s better to book as soon as I announce it or even before by filling the form to reserve it and an email will be sent once dates for the guestspot you are interested in.
If you are interested in a Custom project, I need at least 2 weeks notice to have time to commit to the drawing process, but for guestspots the same suggestion for flashes is applied.

The short answer is NO.
About the pain, placements, durations and characteristics of the tattoo as well as how well prepared you are for the appointment influence your pain tolerance, but the pigment of the ink does not.
About the duration. The bigger the saturation between the tattoo and the skin tone the longer the tattoo will last until it needs retouch. The way you take care of your skin both during and after the healing process are decisive to how good your tattoo ages.

Pain tolerance changes from person to person, it’s difficult to predict yours without having done any previous tattoo, and even so, it can change depending on the situation and placement of the tattoo. There are a few things one can do to ensure that you are at your best for your body to endure the tattoo the best way possible.
-drink a lot of water
-hydrate the area you want to tattoo for a few weeks before the appointment
-sleep well the night before
-eat well
-try to manage stress and anxiety the best way possible during a few days before and after the tattoo
-don’t drink alcohol for at least 3 days before and after the appointment
-don’t book an appointment for while you are menstruating, you will be more sensitive to pain during that time

It’s a bit more difficult than a yes or no.
All my work is done focusing on colours, it allowed me to create different layers/textures and still guarantee each works independently and doesn’t get confused with others. All black tattoos don’t allow me to explore nor create what I envision to my designs.
I do allow one colour to be trade by black in my design but priority will be given to full colour tattoo.
If the final result is still not accepted and we come to the decision that it has to be a full black tattoo, a new design has to be drawn to accommodate the person wishes, if I see that the final result doesn’t reflect me as an artist I will suggest another artist that does the style the person is looking for.

-social insurance and other government taxes

This is a very personal question, as pain tolerance changes a lot depending on the person and taste for big or small tattoos as well.
The most likely less painful placements are the outside of the arms and front of the legs, I would not suggest very visible places right away since there is still a lot of prejudice against tattooed people, it’s always better to think of a placement that won’t get in the way of getting a job, same thing with the size of the tattoo.

I do cover ups, depending on what I have to cover, if my tattoo work can be applied above what needs to be covered meeting all the expectations and concealing traces of what’s under, I will accept the project, if not, I will recommend another artist that would do a great work according to your needs.
On the freehand matter, it’s a bit more tricky, since my tattoos are very detailed, symmetric and depend a lot on blast over techniques and composition, it’s very difficult to do free hand, with my wave project or flowers, it is manageable, so what usually happens is that I draw what I can’t free hand beforehand and draw directly the rest to fit the body.
